JoAnn Helen Sitzman

JoAnn Helen Sitzman passed away on May 1, 2024, at the Levine House in Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by her loving family.
 
 A Funeral Service to honor and remember JoAnn's life is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City, Iowa. The visitation will begin at 9:00 AM followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 AM.  Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Merrill, Iowa.
 
 JoAnn was born on November 12, 1933, in Chatsworth, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene Charles Dalgliesh and Dorothy Louise (Charles) Dalgliesh. She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City. JoAnn married Dwayne Sitzman on April 19, 1952, in Sioux City.  JoAnn led a fulfilling life as she touched the hearts of many around her.
 
 JoAnn dedicated her professional career as a secretary to Mid-State Apartments. Her commitment and hard work left a lasting impact on the organization.
 
 Outside of work, she had various interests including gambling, playing the Wii with daughter Debbie, loved her sweets.  Pie, cake, and cookies were her specialty and cherishing moments with her beloved family.  Everyone that met her, loved her.
 
 She is reunited in heaven with her parents Eugene Charles Dalgliesh and Dorothy Louise (Charles) Dalgliesh, husband Dwayne Sitzman, two sisters:  Patsy Ege and Marilyn Kober, and her parents-in-law.
 
 JoAnn is deeply missed by her surviving family which includes a son Daniel Sitzman; three daughters Debra Sitzman, Cindy Sperry, and Becky Sand and cherished grandchildren: Tim, Michelle, Robbie, Kyle, Cole, Connor, and Caden; and numerous great grandchildren.
 
 JoAnn's kindness, dedication to family, and unwavering spirit will always be remembered by those whose lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished forever. May she rest in peace.
