Joan Pearl Howard

Joan Pearl Howard, 90, of Homer, NE passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, surrounded by her family at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.  Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  The burial will be at Omaha Valley Cemetery.

Joan was born September 30, 1932 in Homer, NE, the daughter of Ivan and Ora (Harris) Krumwiede.  Joan married Marvin D. Howard on August 20, 1954 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Dakota City, NE.  To this union, two sons were born.  The couple moved to a farm southeast of Winnebago and farmed there for five years before moving to their current farm in 1958, where they farmed and worked with cows up until four years ago.  Joan was a member of the Homer United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her grandson Randy Howard of Homer, NE, granddaughter Amy Miller of Gilbert, AZ; great grandchildren:  Riley Erboe, MacKenzie Erboe, and Autumn Erboe; and a sister Joyce Jenkins of Homer, NE.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin D. Howard, and sons Rodney Dean Howard and Randy Dale Howard.
