Jesse J. Singer, Sr.

Jesse J. Singer, Sr., 42 of Dakota City passed away after a lengthy battle with Huntington’s disease on Thursday, September 14, 2023. A memorial visitation will be Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Private family burial will be at Dakota City Cemetery.

Jesse was born the son of Steven and Debra (Willer) Singer on January 17, 1981 in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1999 and then attended WIT. He worked for several years at Ben Fish Tire before his health declined. 

Jesse was an avid Huskers and Raiders fan. He played rugby locally for the Siouxland Swine for 14 years. He shared a close bond with his teammates. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, working out, and fast cars. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. 

Jesse is survived by his son, Jesse Singer, Jr. of Correctionville; mother, Debra Singer of Dakota City; sisters, Monica (Terry) Fowler of Homer and Wendy (David) Raff of Dakota City; grandmother, Alma Willer of Le Mars; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father.
