Jermel D. Ellington

Jermel D. Ellington, 43 of Sioux City passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026. Cremation has taken place and no local service will be held at this time.

Jermel was born the son of Ella Ellington on November 18, 1982 in Sioux City, Iowa.

He enjoyed working on his cars, shooting pool and playing the game. His musical taste included Blues, Rap, and R & B.

Jermel is survived by his children, Kiarra Ellington, Javeon Ellington, and Serenity Grant; mother, Ella Fedrick; brother, Denteril Ellington; sisters, Krystal Fortner and Lakisha Grice; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gloria Ellington and James McKay; and aunt, Bobbie Jean Kirkwood.
