Jennifer Ann Preston, 39 of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at a local hospital, comforted by family. Abiding by family wishes, cremation has taken place, and private services will be scheduled at a later date.
Jennifer was born in Camp Lejune, North Carolina on July 21, 1985 to June Tank. In October 1987, they moved to Sioux City, Iowa to be near family. Jennifer graduated from East High School with the Class of 2003.
Jennifer married the love-of-her-life, Joe Preston on August 8, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada with her beloved family in attendance. Along with a new husband came a mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law who loved Jennifer very much.
Jennifer had such a zest for life and loved going on adventures. She especially loved going on cruises and all kinds of vacations throughout the United States. She also loved camping with her husband. Jennifer enjoyed working in her garden and growing all kinds of tasty treats. She absolutely loved hanging out with her family and friends. Jennifer loved hanging out with her mom, June. She would always call her mom multiple times a day. They loved talking to each other. They had the best mother/daughter bond. Jennifer loved her mom with all her heart.
Jennifer and her husband would always build Legos and would have Nerf wars. They were huge kids at heart. 4th of July was a huge event for them every year. They always went all-out!
Jennifer always had a smile on her face and would always help anyone she cared about without a second thought or expectation of anything in return. She had such a pure loving heart.
Jennifer is survived by her husband Joe Preston; mom June Tank; dad Dennis Tank; numerous aunts and an uncle; an enormous amount of cousins; step-brothers Matt and Wade Tank; nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Holli Rogers; two sisters-in-law and her dog Chloe.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Janice Kinnaman, uncles Russ, Jeff, and Michael Kinnaman, uncle George Ulrich, and uncle Randy Holden. Her dogs Zena and Jasper, along with her cats Yayo and Tigger also preceded her in death.
She is going to be extremely missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
