Jeffrey Adam Swick, 35, of Dakota City, NE, passed away June 13, 2022 at a local hospital surrounded by his family. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 17th at 11:00 a.m. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In honor of Jeff, the family requests that you wear Husker clothing. Burial will be at Dakota City Cemetery. Jeff was born on March 24, 1987 in Sioux City, IA to John and Dawn (Hageman) Swick. He graduated from South Sioux City High School in 2005. Jeff was employed at Hungry’s, Walmart and Tyson. He enjoyed the Nebraska Huskers, hunting, camping, and playing video games. He especially loved going to the casino with his Mom and fishing on the pontoon with his Dad. Family was important to Jeff and he always had fun at the family’s weekly Husker parties in the garage.
Those left to honor his memory include his parents, John and Dawn Swick, Dakota City, NE; brothers and sister: John Aaron, Dakota City, NE, Justin Alan (Veronica), Papillion, NE, Jared Anthony (Courtney), South Sioux City; and Mariah Swick (Jason Kleider), Dakota City, NE; nieces and nephews: Sydney, Jade, Samantha, Liberty, Grace, Nevaeh, Bradyn, Tyler, Rylan, Connor, Jerek, Harlee and Hayzlee; numerous aunts and uncles; and grandparents: John and MaryAnn Swick, Dakota City, NE.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Phil and Phyllis Hageman.
