Jeanne E. Carlson

Jeanne E. Carlson, 73, of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021.  A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.  Burial will be at Graceland Park Cemetery.

Jeanne was born the daughter of Doug and LaVerne (Watterson) Carlson on October 2, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa.  She attended Westfield High School.  Jeanne worked for Stone Container for many years both in the office and in the factory. 

She enjoyed playing bingo, collecting chickens, and making wreaths.  She was always sifting through thrift stores and Goodwill in search of a bargain or treasure.

Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Amy (Keith) Horn of Sioux City; siblings, Doug (Mary Ellen) Carlson, Sandy (Leo) Welch, Laurie (Mike) Blanchard, Mary (Kenny) Johns, Kathy (Denny) Brunsting, Carol Stultz, and Cheri (Denny) Sander; grandchildren, Nichole (Jeremy) Zimmerman, Adam (Erin) Higgins, and Damon (Gabby) Krull; and several great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Joanne Carlson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dan Carlson and his partner, Mike Young and Dick Carlson; and brother-in-law, Kenny Stultz.
