Jeana Lynn Irwin

July 15, 1970 — September 21, 2025

Elk Point, South Dakota

Jeana Lynn Irwin, 55, of Elk Point, a cherished soul, graced the world with her vibrant spirit until her passing on September 21, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family.

Jeana was born on July 15, 1970, in Sioux City, Iowa. From a young age, Jeana exhibited a passion for life that was evident in everything she did. Whether it was fishing or embarking on adventurous camping trips, her love for nature was profound. She had a crafty side that revealed her giving heart, always creating something beautiful for those she cared about. Gardening was another of her cherished pastimes, where she found joy not only in nurturing her plants but also in spending meaningful moments with her family. For Jeana, family and her puppies were everything.

Jeana is survived by her longtime companion, Scott Beatty of Elk Point, SD, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Her legacy continues through her beloved daughters, Kelsey Irwin and her fiancé Chase Carroll of Sioux City, and Katie Irwin of Jefferson, SD. Her spirit lives on brightly in her beloved grandchildren: Jace Tjeerdsma, Bentley Tjeerdsma, Brylee Tjeerdsma, and Lexi Decker. Jeana's parents, Bob and Linda Thompson of Sioux City, as well as her brother Mike Thompson and his wife Contessia, along with their children, and her aunt Joleen Charbonneau have also been deeply touched by her love and kindness. Jeana’s beloved puppy Romi was always by her side, providing companionship and joy in everyday moments.

Jeana's vibrant presence will be missed but never forgotten. Her bond with her family and friends was a testament to her loving nature. She touched the lives of those around her, always putting others before herself and leaving a lasting impression on all she encountered. Although she has joined her paternal and maternal grandparents and her three beloved dogs, Noah, Jersey, and Romeo, in eternal rest, her light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
