Janet A. Villim, 84 of Sioux City passed away Friday, March 21, 2025. A memorial service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 4, 2025 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Janet was born the daughter of Clint and Marie (Framke) Mann on March 19, 1941 in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Otto High School in 1959. Janet married James Vanderham in 1959. To this union three daughters were born, Jamie, Jackie, and Jerri. She later married John Villim on September 26, 1967. They had a son, Jason.
Janet worked for Zenith for many years. She decided to go back to school and became the oldest student in her class at WIT. She went to work at St. Luke’s Hospital in central supply until her retirement.
Janet loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Janet and John enjoyed going to black powder shoots together. In her younger years she enjoyed painting and ceramics. She was a huge George Jones fan and even attending a few of his shows.
Janet is survived by her husband, John Villim of Sioux City; children, Jamie (Rick) Hutmacher of Yankton, Jackie Girard of North Sioux City, Jerri Tinker of Sioux City, and Jason (Noreen) Villim of Yankton; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack and brother, Jerry and his wife, Kay.
