James "Jim" Pickering

James "Jim" Pickering, age 77, passed away Feb 12, 2024. Jim was born Aug 3, 1946, in Hastings NE to Betty (McDonald) Pickering & Leonard Pickering. Jim served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1971. Later on, he married Diane (Biggerstaff) Pickering and through this union he had 3 boys: Lenny Pickering from CO, Mark (Fawna) Pickering from Sioux City IA and Jerry Pickering from CO. He has 5 grandchildren. Jim had 3 sisters: Sylvia Fuller (deceased), Carol Gulbronson and Dorothy Pickering (deceased) and 4 brothers: Lonnie, George, Mike, and Fred. There will be a private family memorial with military honors at a later date. The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of the Midwest for your kind, caring and compassionate care.
