James C. Hodgins

   James C. Hodgins, 52, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at a local hospital. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.    James was born on August 1, 1969 in Sioux City to James and Beverly (Morris) Hodgins. He graduated from North High School in 1987, and went on to obtain his Bachelor of Science degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 1991.

   On December 22, 1990 he married Laura Zunker at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sioux City.

   James worked in software for Gateway in North Sioux City for many years, beginning in 1991. He went on to work for St. Luke’s Hospital beginning in 1996.

   He was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Sioux City, and was a 3^rd Degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus.

   Left to cherish James’ memory include his wife, Laura; his children: Mary Rule (Ray); Elizabeth Wilson (Sean); Juliana Fuentes (Victor); Rachel Hodgins; James D. Hodgins; Joshua Hodgins; Lily Hodgins; and Michael Hodgins.

   He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Lonnie Larson and Morey Larson.
