Jamie Jo Jensen, 46 of South Sioux City, Nebraska beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and valued member of the community passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024 peacefully in her sleep at home.  A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2024 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Sundt officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home.   Burial in the South Creek Cemetery of rural Ponca will be at a later date.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com

Jamie was born on October 23, 1977 in South Sioux City, Nebraska to Brad and Ann (McArdle) Jensen.   Jamie graduated from South Sioux City Public School with the Class of 1996.  She dedicated 25 years of her life to McDonald’s, where she rose to the esteemed position of store manager.   Jamie was known for her exceptional work ethic, unwavering commitment, and deep knowledge in her field.   Throughout her career, Jamie attended numerous courses and earned a wall full of certifications, showcasing her dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.

Outside of work, Jamie cherished her family above all else.  She had a close bond with her mother and father, and held them dear to her heart.   Jamie’s love and devotion to her family were unparalleled.  

In her free time, Jamie enjoyed collecting movies that reflected her unique taste and style.   She took pleasure in curating her collection and sharing it with her loved-ones.  Jamie was also a regular at the local Huddle, where she made lasting friendships and had many enjoyable moments.

Jamie is survived by her mother Ann Jensen, father Brad Jensen, brother Matthew Jensen, sister Carrie Matney, and her two nephews, Michael Matney and Conner Matney.  Her presence and love will be deeply missed by her dear family, relatives, and friends.
