He graduated from Central High School in 1965. He then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On May 10, 1969, he married Linda Long in Valparaiso, Indiana. They raised two children and enjoyed building their lives together. He continued his education at Sioux Empire and Western Iowa Tech schools.

He enjoyed fishing at local spots and even went deep sea fishing with his son. Corky shared a special bond with his dog, Dancer. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family and keeping up with the grandkids.

He was also loved by many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and numerous other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, William “Skip” and Ted.
