Helen A. Hall passed away at her home in Ponca on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at the age of 85. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Salem Lutheran Church in Ponca. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. at the church. Burial will be at a later date at Silver Ridge Cemetery in rural Ponca.

Helen was born in Ponca, Nebraska on March 3, 1940 to Josephine (Starzl) and William Harder. She attended and graduated from Ponca High School in 1958. Helen worked for many years at IBP. She married Kenneth “Butch” Hall on May 22, 1959 in Sioux City, Iowa. They had seven children.

Helen enjoyed cooking delicious home cooked meals for her family. She was known by many as the queen of dill pickles.

Helen is survived by her children, Curtis (Saumbra) Hall, Becki (James) Divis, Valerie (David) Hansen, Chance Hall, Travis (Kim) Hall, a bonus son, Jimmy Butts; and special friend and neighbor, Jackson Stroud; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Butch (2025); parents, William and Josephine Harder; daughter, Jacki (1978); son, Chad (2003); grandson, Heath (2003); sister, Frances Conrad; and brother, Tommy Harder.
