Harriet M. Doerr

Harriet Mae Doerr, the daughter of Edward J. and Martha Marie (Quitmeyer) Eyden, was born May 2, 1925, in Deshler, Nebraska. She passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in Sioux City, Iowa at the age of 100.

Private services for Harriet will be held in Lincoln, Nebraska. Memorial contributions in Harriet’s memory may be directed Redeemer Lutheran Church or Mary’s Choice. Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel is assisting with arrangements.

Harriet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald D. Doerr on November 21, 2016; and two siblings: Cordulla (Lindsey Carlisle) Breeden and Everett August Eyden.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Joel) Gebhardt of Sioux City, Iowa; son, Kurt (Cynthia) Doerr of Breckenridge, Colorado; three grandchildren: Gregory Doerr of Seattle, Washington, Britt (Kasey) Farrell of Sioux City, Iowa, and Elizabeth Doerr of Denver, Colorado; and five great grandchildren: Lydia Farrell, Therese Farrell, Genevieve Farrell, Killian Farrell, and Josephine Farrell. In addition, Harriet is survived by sister-in-law, ArVella Doerr of Denver, Colorado, and her nieces and nephews.
