Harold David Ward, 93, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Born on January 13, 1932, in rural Whiting, Iowa, Harold was raised by his beloved grandparents, Harry O. and Mary J. Douglas. He graduated from Luton High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1954, performing the vital role of an electrician on a minesweeper until his honorable discharge.
In 1954, Harold made Sioux City his home, and soon thereafter, on July 30, 1955, he married Delores M. (Spade) Ward. Harold's working life began with various positions at gas stations around the Greenville area, eventually leading him to install and repair electronic equipment. His dedication and hard work culminated in a position as a maintenance foreman at Interbake in North Sioux City, where he worked from 1985 until 1999.
Harold's personality was characterized by a steadfast determination and a generous spirit. He was known for his stubbornness, which often drove him to achieve great things, and he derived immense satisfaction from helping others.
