Harold M. Sagert, Jr.

Harold M. Sagert, Jr., 40 of Sac County passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Harold was born the son of Harold and Virginia (McDaniel) Sagert, Sr. on August 21, 1984, in San Antonio, Texas. In his childhood years, he moved to South Sioux City, Nebraska and attended South Sioux City High School. He then met, and married, Heidi Thompson (Sagert) in 2005 and raised their two children together. They later relocated to Lake View, Iowa. Harold worked in the industrial maintenance field for many years.

Harold had a fascination with Ninja Turtles that began in his early childhood. He had a large collection of memorabilia and comics. He also enjoyed rebuilding classic cars and trucks with his dad, spending time outdoors mushroom hunting and fishing, and watching scary movies with a big bowl of candy in his lap.

Harold is survived by his children, Christopher (Noelia) Sagert and Kaytlyn (Nathan) Sagert; mother, Virginia Sagert; and sisters, Melody Cole, Martha (Chad) Whitmore, and Mary (Craig) Seibold. This includes many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold M. Sagert, Sr.
