Gregory "Greg" Paul Braunger

     Gregory “Greg” Paul Braunger, 57, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly.

     Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 12^th at Pearl’s 417 Pearl Street. A private burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting with arrangements.

     His whole world revolved around his daughter Kaitlin Jean, granddaughter Lyla Moon, and loyal German Shepherd Schultz. He often bragged about “Breakfast with Papa” and would take every opportunity to share a picture or story about his granddaughter. Greg will be remembered for his love of family, infectious laugh, and quick wit which proved he was his father’s son. Greg was willing to do anything for anyone and always had a smile on his face. The family group messages just will not be the same without his traditional Friday text “Happy Friday it’s finally here everybody be safe love you all”.

     Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Kaitlin (Aaron Robinson) and their daughter Lyla Moon; siblings, David (Christy) Braunger, Beth (Grant) Whalen, Becky (David) Wetzbarger, Jennifer (Troy) Lanagan, Tony (Carla) Braunger, and Cathy Braunger; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Jean Braunger; and the love of his life Marcella “Marcie” VanWaart.
