Gloria Irene Hernandez

Gloria Hernandez, 77 of Dakota City passed away February 2, 2024.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial will be planned by her family.

Gloria was born December 2, 1946, in Las Cruces New Mexico to Ramona Hernandez and Manuel Hernandez. Married to Augustine Holguin at the age of 16. She had 7 children, Leticia. Annette, Augustine, Epitacio, Paul, Alejandro and Lorenzo.

Gloria made friends anywhere she went. She loved calling everyone mija or mijo. Gloria was not shy to speak her mind and educate you on life lessons. She loved spending time with her family especially her great grandchildren, which she helped raised since they were babies. She was a woman of faith and was always spreading the word of God. She either had Gospel TV or Unsolved Mysteries on. Gloria was the first person to help anyone who needed it. She made a lasting impact on everyone’s lives she touched.

She is survived by her daughter Annette, son-in-law Anthony, 3 sons, Epitacio, Alejandro and Lorenzo, 7 grandkids, Auntonia, Francisco, Bernadette, Marc, Micheal, Robert and Ariel, 12 great grandkids, Christian, Anthony, Angel, Ariana, Alicia C, Makenna, Alicia R, Adonis, Jocelyn, Brayden, Gianna, and Apollo.

Gloria will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She had a deep impact on her family, and they will miss her tremendously. She was preceded in death by her parents; her three children, Leticia, Augustine and Paul, her brother Frank and her children’s father Augustine.
