Gloria J. Fazio

  Gloria J. Fazio, 74, of Sioux City passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at her residence. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Logan Park Cemetery in Sioux City.

 Gloria was born on February 12, 1950 in Sioux City, to Alfred and Janavie (Hurst) Holmes. She was raised in Sioux City, but spent years traveling the world and living in several states as a military wife during her first marriage. She eventually returned to Sioux City where she remained until her passing. Gloria worked for several years as a CNA in a rehabilitation setting, helping those with disabilities. 

 On February 9, 1980 she married Joseph A. Fazio in Sioux City. Joseph preceded Gloria in death on December 26, 2021. 

 Gloria was gifted with her hands, and was extremely crafty. She loved to crochet, knit, needlepoint, and cross stitch and made many works of art with various forms of stitching. She also enjoyed going out to eat and trying new places. 

 She is survived by her three children: Michelle Warren (Darrin), Shannon Yaw (Jim) and Tim “TJ” Sundling (Stephanie); grandchildren, including Michael and Jennifer; and several great-grandchildren. 

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Fazio; her siblings; her parents; and a grandson, Anthony Scofield.
