Geraldine “Jerri” Lee Morgan, 80 of Sioux City passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026. A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jerri was born the daughter of George and Edith (Bunch) Peters, Sr. on August 16, 1945 in Sioux City, Iowa. She received her education from Central High School. Jerri married George Morgan on February 27, 1965. They raised 3 children and enjoyed 61 years together.

Jerri worked at IBP for many years. She also worked at K-Mart and loved being a lunch lady for the Sioux City schools.

She came from a large close-knit family and really enjoyed spending time with every one of them, especially her sisters. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her younger years, she was a great softball pitcher, an avid bowler, and enjoyed playing horseshoes with her husband.

Jerri is survived by her children, Glenn (Karen) Morgan, Mindy (Ed) Hartz, and Jason Morgan; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brothers, John Peters, Dick Peters, and Mike (Judy) Peters; sisters, Jackie Dewall, Ginger (Jack) Waldschmidt, and Sandy Peters; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; grandson, Reed Swaggerty-Morgan; siblings, George, Jr., Judith Birkes, Jean Parkhill, Bill Peters, and Joe Peters; brothers-in-laws, Jim Birkes, Jack DeWall, Dick Schaffer and sister-in-law, Pat Peters.
