Florence A. Loos

  Florence A. Loos, 84, of South Sioux City, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her home following a brief illness. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.   Florence was born on January 18, 1939 in Sioux City, to Lawrence and Edna (Roberts) Loos. She was a lifelong resident of South Sioux City, and graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1957. She worked for Johnson Biscuit for 35 years, from September 9, 1957 until November 6, 1992, when she retired. Florence was proud to be a union steward within the company, and was honored to advise and represent her colleagues to the upper management.

  Survivors include her three nieces: Sue (E.W.) Filler of Volga, SD; Penny Patrick of South Sioux City; and Julie Loos of Sioux City; two nephews: John (Bobbi) Loos of Dakota City, NE; and Mike (Christine) Loos of Paynesville, MN; four great-nieces; and four great-nephews.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Laurence Loos and John F. Loos; sister-in-law, Kate Loos; and a great-nephew: Scott Filler.
