Fanh Seevanhsa, 71, Laos, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones after a short fight with cancer. Fanh was born March 17, 1954 and made the courageous move from Laos to the United States with her husband and daughters in 1979. She treated everyone she met as if she knew them for years. She will be remembered for her contagious laugh, playful sense of humor, and warm heart. In her 40 years working at Tyson Foods, Fanh met lifelong friends that created a sense of community for her family. Fanh enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking delicious food, dancing with friends, socializing at church, and the occasional glass of wine for celebrations. She was preceded in death by her husband Chareune Seevanhsa.
Fanh is survived in death by her 5 daughters; Bouawone Seevanhsa, Bouvanh Seevanhsa (Noel Bockholt), Bouvin Mouw (Jon Mouw), Joleen Gaumer (Geoff Gaumer), and Polly Seevanhsa (Josh Ronfeldt). Her grandchildren; Amphone Nanthavong (Vanessa Schneider), Hazy Sounthala, Kai Herron, Gemma Mouw, Justice Mouw, Navaya Mouw, and Abbie Van Otterloo. Her great grandchildren; Ava Van Otterloo, Carson Van Surksum, and Anna Van Surksum.
Please join the family in celebrating Fanh’s life on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Meyer Brother’s Morningside Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1 PM, and service immediately following from 2 PM - 4 PM In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting monetary donations to help offset funeral expenses..
