Elizabeth "Beth" Stewart

Elizabeth “Beth” Stewart, 60 of Oakland, formerly of South Sioux City, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at a Sioux City hospital.  Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2020 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City.  Burial will follow at the Ponca City Cemetery in Ponca, Nebraska.  Visitation, with the family present, will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com

Beth was born on September 9, 1959 in Wakefield, Nebraska to Albert and Ruth (Beeks) Christ.  She received her education, and graduated from the Rosalie Public Schools.  She married George Stewart, to which marriage one daughter was born, Brandy.  The couple later divorced.  During her working career, Beth enjoyed working production at Goodwill in Sioux City.  She had been a resident of the Northstar homes for several years.

Beth is survived by her father, Albert Christ of West Point, NE; brother Dennis (Pam) Christ of Minnesota; sisters Sue Rief (Glenn Becker) of Fremont, NE, Laurie Christ of West Point, NE, Teresa Christ of Minnesota, and Phyllis (Darryn) Harder of Wakefield, NE; daughter Brandy Stewart of Sioux City; and granddaughter Rebecca Stewart of Sioux City.

Beth was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth, sisters Kitty Christ and Brenda Christ, a granddaughter, niece, and nephew.
