Edna M. Tudehope, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in Sioux City, IA, at the age of 91. Born on October 11, 1933, in Welton, Iowa, she was the daughter of Clifford and Thelma (Murphy) Boldt. From her early years, Edna experienced a diverse upbringing, moving 18 times in the Davenport, IA area before settling into her adult life.

After graduating from high school, Edna embarked on a career at Bell Telephone where she met the love of her life, Donald R. Tudehope, from Sioux City. They were united in marriage on May 28, 1955, at Grace United Methodist Church in Sioux City. Together, they built a life rich with love and family, making their home in Sioux City. Edna dedicated a significant portion of her life to being a stay-at-home mom during her children’s formative years; later, she played an integral role in her husband's business, Modern Office.

Edna's devotion to her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church and later joined Heritage Baptist Church. Her faith guided her interactions and the loving spirit that characterized her relationships with family and friends. Known for her caring and nurturing personality, Edna's legacy is one of love and kindness.

Her hobbies included sewing, painting, and scrapbooking, activities that brought her joy and creativity. Edna took immense pride in her family, who were central to her life. She is survived by her two sons, Thomas "Tom" Tudehope and wife Cynthia, and Robert "Rob" Tudehope and wife Janice; three grandchildren: Jacob, Rachel, and Christopher; three sisters-in-law: Marsha Boldt, Vicki Boldt, and Marilyn Boldt; and one brother-in-law, Dean Tudehope. Additionally, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald, on December 17, 2020, and three brothers: Neil Boldt, Michael Boldt, and Jim Boldt; one sister, Ginger (Jim) Kaucher; and two sisters-in-law: Marilyn (Donald) McPherran and Karyl Tudehope.

A reception celebrating the lives of Edna and Donald will be held at Central Baptist Church in Sioux City on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
