Edith Ann Marie Anderson

Edith Ann Marie Anderson, 67, of Wakefield, NE passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 while surrounded by her family at her home.Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE. Visitation with the family present will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.Edith was born on August 17, 1948 in Wakefield, NE, the daughter of Erwin and Erna (Henschke) Bottger. She graduated from Thurston High School. She married Jerry Anderson on May 4, 1966 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in rural Wakefield. The couple settled on her parents farm in rural Wakefield where they raised four children. Edith also did babysitting in her home, worked at Heritage Homes in Wayne and worked as a Dietary Aide in the Wakefield Care Center.Edith had a great sense of humor and was very giving, always doing something for someone else. She had a great love of her family, grandchildren and cats. She loved to travel, fish, crochet, go to garage sales, and she always had a camera in her hand.Survivors include her mother, Erna Bottger of Wayne, NE; her husband, Jerry Anderson of Wakefield, NE; children and grandchildren, Lori (Ron) Obermeyer and children, Kody and Kyra of Sioux Falls, SD, Gary Anderson of Lincoln, NE, Mindy (Richard) Staveteig and children, Christopher and Lincoln of Thompson, ND and Kassi (Tyler) Bayless of Seattle, WA.Edith was preceded in death by her father, Erwin Bottger.
