Duane O. Stroman

 Duane O. Stroman, 57, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at a local hospital.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Bacon Creek Park, Shelter House #1.  Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Duane was born on August 1, 1962 in Sioux City, IA to Richard and Ruth (Hewitt) Stroman.  He graduated from West High School.  On April 30, 1998 he was united in marriage to Judy Wilcke in Onawa, IA.  Duane had a variety of jobs throughout his life including a welder, blackjack dealer, and dispatcher.  He loved fishing, watching John Wayne movies and had an interest for the paranormal.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Judy Stroman, Sioux City; children: Garth Wilcke-Stroman, Jessica (Alex Jones) Stroman, Darius Stroman, and Hannah (Gabe Mackey) Stroman, all of Sioux City; brother Vincent (Linda) Stroman Sr. Texas; sister, Tina Stroman, South Dakota; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents, uncles: Fred Hewitt and John Stroman, and father-in-law, Walter D. Wilcke.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Westwood Nursing Home and Mercy Hospital for all of the wonderful care given to Duane.
