Duane Allen Clark, 48, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 5, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Duane's family will be present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. to greet friends.
Duane, the only child of Gary and Linda (Kroll) Clark, was born on January 6, 1978, in Sioux City, Iowa. He was raised in Sioux City, where he attended local schools and graduated from East High School with the Class of 1996. Following high school, Duane pursued his passion for automobiles by attending Western Iowa Tech Community College, earning an Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology.
Duane dedicated 28 years of his career to Rick Collins Toyota, where he was a highly respected automotive technician. He took great pride in his work and was known for his knowledge, integrity, and willingness to help others with their vehicles.
On June 1, 2002, Duane married the love of his life, Jenny (Smith) Clark, in Sioux City. Together they built a loving home and were blessed with two children, Emma and Owen, who were the center of his world.
Family was the foundation of Duane's life. Whether traveling together, spending time at home, or simply enjoying everyday moments, he treasured every opportunity to be with those he loved. His lifelong passion for cars extended beyond his career, as he enjoyed working on vehicles and visiting with others about automobiles.
In January 2017, Duane was diagnosed with cancer. Throughout his journey, he faced every challenge with remarkable courage, determination, and optimism. His strength and unwavering spirit inspired everyone who knew him, and he remained a fighter until the very end.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jenny Clark of Sioux City; daughter, Emma Clark-Hernandez and her husband, Alex, of Sioux City; son, Owen Clark of Sioux City; parents, Gary and Linda Clark of Sioux City; parents-in-law, Tim and Elaine Smith of Sioux City; sister-in-law, Michele Milford of Omaha; and his beloved dog, Toby.
Duane was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
