Donald "Donnie" James" Foreman passed away on June 18th.
Donnie Foreman was born on November 17, 1944, to Jean (Mayo) and Barney Foreman. He attended Orange City Public School and graduated in 1963. A few years after graduation he began trucking with his dad and went on to begin his own trucking business.
He married Suzanne (Penny) Mawhinney on December 1, 1969, and they lived on a farm in Sergeant Bluff. Together they had three children Kyle, Kori and Mike. He worked at the Sioux City Stockyards as a cattle buyer in 1980 until shortly before it closed. Donnie went on to work for Larsen trucking until around 2015. His wife Penny passed away on January 27, 2014.
Donnie enjoyed horses and working out in his shop on the farm, visiting his grandchildren when he could or talking to them on the phone and going to casinos.
He is survived by his three children. Kyle (Stephanie) Foreman of Ohio, Kori Foreman of Sergeant Bluff and her significant other George, and Mike (Marlous)Foreman of Omaha; grandchildren, Courtney, Cody, Jacob (Jake), Chelsi, Benson and Ryder; great-grandson, Casey; Sister, Eleanor; brother, Rodney; many nieces and nephews and girlfriend, Jane.
Donnie was proceeded in death by his parents, Barney and Jean Foreman; his wife of 43 years, Penny Foreman; brother, Scott Foreman; and sister-in-law, Marsha Foreman.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
