Donald Byerley, 82 of Sioux City passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026. Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Donald was born the son of Carl and Zelma (Baker) Byerley on March 3, 1943 in Moville, Iowa. He graduated from Moville High School. Donald married Jane Boyd on June 6, 1970 in Sioux City, Iowa. Don worked as an accountant for Peter Kiewit Construction Company for many years. His job kept the family traveling the country, from Tampa Bay, Florida to Sioux Falls and many places in between. Don spent his last few years in Sioux City to be closer to his family. Jane passed away in 2017.

Donald enjoyed watching movies, especially romance films. He also enjoyed bowling and mini golf. He met his wife Jane bowling and continued the hobby for many years.

He is survived by his daughter Ann Byerley and several cousins.
