Diane S. Peters

Diane S. Peters, born on May 29, 1952, in Jefferson, SD, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Sioux City, IA at the age of 73. She was the daughter of Albert and Charlotte (Dietschy) Card.

Diane's formative years were spent in Jefferson, where she graduated from Jefferson High School. On October 12, 1973, she married Kenneth R. Peters in Sioux City.

Diane devoted much of her professional life to serving her community through various employment roles. She worked at Payless Cashways until its closure, after which she became a department manager at Bomgaars, where she continued to work until her retirement. Her commitment to her jobs reflected her strong work ethic and dedication.

Family was the cornerstone of Diane's life. She embodied a spirit of love and hospitality, welcoming all into her home. Very family-oriented, she took immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren. Diane's unwavering strength and stubbornness were balanced by her warm and loving nature.

In her leisure time, Diane found joy in assembling Lego sets.

Diane is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Peters and Becky (Josh) Smith, both of Sioux City; three grandchildren, Christopher Roupe, Anthony Smith, and Charlotte Smith; her brothers, Keith (Pam) Card of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Dennis (Sue) Card of South Carolina; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Diane joins in eternal rest her parents, her husband Kenneth, who passed on May 4, 2013, her son Bradley Peters, and her brother Norman Card.

A graveside service for Diane S. Peters will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Graceland Cemetery, located at 2701 S Lakeport St, Sioux City, IA, 51106. Family and friends will meet at the south gate of the cemetery at 1:45 PM.
