Dennis Ross Molden

Dennis Ross Molden, 78 of Sioux City, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at his residence comforted by family. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Craig Wickey as Prayer Leader. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors offered by the United States Navy Reserve. Visitation, with family present, will be one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com

Dennis was born on September 10, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa to Mervin and Irene (Huss) Molden. He received his education in the Sioux City Public Schools, graduating from Central High School with the Class of 1965. Following graduation, Dennis joined the United States Navy, and served our country as a Seabee until 1971 when he received his honorable discharge. He married Kathy Kepfer in 1971. 

Dennis worked in the HVAC industry for 45 plus years having the last 21 years being the Inspector for the City of Sioux City, retiring in 2017. He enjoyed golfing and bowling. He married Bonnie “Carlson” Cole in Watertown, South Dakota in 1987. 

Dennis is survived by his sons Michael (Sheila) Molden of Sioux City, Iowa and Steve (Rebecca) Molden of Tolleson, Arizona; stepsons Chris (Sherrie) Cole of Sioux City, Iowa and Cliff Cole of South Sioux City, Nebraska; sister Lori (Dave) Alexander of Sioux City, Iowa; sisters-in-law Marlene Molden of Sioux City, Iowa, Sandra (Ron) Clarstrom of Andover, Minnesota, and Carol Allaway of Akron, Iowa; brother-in-law Jerry Wickey of Sioux City, Iowa; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Mervin and Irene Molden, wife Bonnie in July of 2024, daughters Dawn Harmes and Kim Devault, grandson Tyler Carlberg, brothers Rob Molden and Bruce Molden, sister Nancy Wickey, brother-in-law Don Allaway, and sister-in-law Jackie Molden.
