Dennis W. Bobek

  Dennis William Bobek, 49, of Bennington, NE, and formerly of South Sioux City, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Mohr & Becker Hunt Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.   Dennis was born on November 9, 1973 in Sioux City, to Dennis D. Bobek and Cynthia Marsh. He attended South Sioux City Schools. He was a cook alongside his mother, Cynthia, at Wagonmasters Café in Whiting, Iowa for several years. Dennis always said he loved cooking for others.

  He was a talented guitar player and loved music. He also enjoyed fishing, and loved plants and animals. He always found appreciation in the little things.

  Dennis was the most gentle, kind, and compassionate person you could meet.

  He is survived by his sisters: Cristy Ellis (Doug), Kellie Bock (Shane), and Lindsey Marsh (Dan); many nieces and nephews; and his father, Dennis Bobek.

  He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Marsh; an aunt, Kathy Buskirk; his best friend, Chris Kavanaugh; and his two beloved dogs: Sabbath and JJ.
