David Brian Price, 43, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in Dakota City, Nebraska.

If you have met David, you will not have forgotten him. He was unforgettable.

David was born on October 7, 1982, in Grimsby, Ontario to Gary and Sharon (Dixon) Price. A boy prodigy, he showed intelligence beyond his young years, easily excelling in all of his classes. Always one of the most popular people at school, he was friends to all bringing brightness and joy. He played sports as a youngster, especially baseball and skiing. He was an accomplished skier, and him and his family shared many powdery adventures together.

He had a number of passions that developed throughout his life. An avid reader, he read everything from Homer to Homer Simpson. He devoured books and loved to discuss them. You could rely on David to provide spirited debate on the book as well as the subject. He was the same with music, enjoying all genres with a soft spot for Rush and Tom Waits. Even though he did not play, he was a student of music, and many hours were spent listening to and discussing his newest musical acquisitions.

David loved to cook. He had the imagination of Emeril Legace and the passion of Gordon Ramsey. Many of the delectable dishes served at Kahills were his creations. His signature dish, wild mushroom risotto, was outstanding.

David enjoyed hockey, as a lifelong Maple Leafs fan he knew the meaning of disappointment and to top things off he was also a Buffalo Bills fan.

David had an abundance of kindness. Even though he had lifelong struggles his beautiful heart showed through in the darkest of times. He was taken far too soon and far too quickly. We are left longing for just one more word, one more laugh and one more chance to say how much we love him.

David is survived and beloved by his mother Sharon, father Gary, sister Hayley, brother-in-law John and his nieces Alora and Lily.

David will be missed by his extended family in Canada and England as well as his ex-wife Jennifer and her family.

His life, so tragic and tragically short, has broken our hearts. As time mutes the sharpness of the pain we now feel we will be able to celebrate that we had known David and forever have his handprints on our hearts.

How lucky we are to have had something that makes saying goodbye so very hard.

Rest in peace my beautiful boy, I will love you with all my heart forever.
