David E. Henry

David E. Henry, 62, of Sioux City, IA, passed away April 3, 2023 at a local hospital.  Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.  Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is handling the arrangements.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

David was born on January 16, 1961 in Sioux City, IA to Phillip and Marlene (Durham) Henry.  He attended West High School and graduated from there, class of  '79. David worked as a baker starting his career at The Sioux City Bakery and then at Hy-Vee for over 30 years.  He enjoyed classic cars, he was always working on his cars and keeping them looking shiny and clean. David loved just going cruising, a favorite spot of his was Stone State Park.

Those left to honor his memory include his son, David E. Henry Jr., Sioux City, IA; grandchildren: David III and Melody; siblings: Peggy Henry and her husband, Dave Widener, Kerrville, TX, Steven (Christine) Henry, SanDiego, CA, Joan Henry, Sioux City, IA, Matt (Stephanie) Henry, Sioux City, IA, Missy (Lance) Flaugh, Sioux City, IA; his beloved cat, Cookie, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Michele Henry and brother, Phillip Henry.
