David G. Hauf

David G. Hauf, 69, of South Sioux City, NE, passed away December 16, 2022.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 20^th at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, NE.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be at Graceland Park Cemetery.  Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

David was born on December 27, 1952 in Minot, ND to Erwin and Ethel (Johnson) Hauf.  He graduated from High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Minot State College.  After college David began his career working as a manager for K-Mart, after that he worked at the Dakota City Assessors office and later retired.  David was united in marriage to Dawn Crofoot on May 8, 1982 in South Sioux City, NE.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, coaching his children’s baseball teams, and watching the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Dawn Hauf; sons: Adam Hauf and Chad (April) Hauf; grandchildren: Braydon and Khalisi; brothers, Tim, Tom (Mary), and sister, Melinda; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
