Daniel "Dan" L. Bubb

Daniel "Dan" L. Bubb, 59, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 27, 2025, at his home. Born on November 15, 1965, in California, Dan was the son of William and Glenda (Marcoe) Bubb. He spent his formative years in Sioux City, where he later graduated from East High School.

Dan's professional journey commenced while he was still in high school, starting at Sioux City Ford. His dedication and hard work allowed him to rise through the ranks, eventually serving as the parts manager. After several years at Sioux City Ford, he accepted a position as the parts manager at Jensen Dealership, where he contributed significantly until health issues necessitated his retirement.

Family was the cornerstone of Dan's life. He was united in marriage to Beth Hogue in 1988, and together they welcomed two children.

Dan's personality shone brightly throughout his life. He was known for being kind, loyal, gracious, and dedicated. An easy-going individual who took challenges in stride, he remained a fighter, always smiling even during the toughest times. His passion for sports was well-known; he enjoyed coaching baseball and football, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Kansas City Chiefs, and Iowa Hawkeyes. Dan's love for sports also extended to bowling, golfing and playing softball, which provided him with treasured memories and camaraderie. He was also a lover of animals and cared deeply for his pets, considering them part of his family.

He is survived by his beloved children, Kyle (Cassie Kronenfeld) Bubb and Melissa (Matt Bergquist) Bubb, his grandson, Landon, and his siblings: Randy Kinnaman, Mike (Sue) Bubb, Laurie (Justin) Petersen, Karen (Brad) Binnebose, and Rick (Michelle) Kinnaman, several nieces and nephews: Trish, Cheryl, Travis, Adam, Samantha, Hank, Steven, Megan, Drew, Paige, Ryan, and Kale. Dan also leaves behind other relatives and friends who will deeply miss his warmth and kindness.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, William Bubb, his mother, Glenda Kinnaman, his stepfather, Leland Kinnaman, and his sister-in-law, Trisha Kinnaman.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, located at 6200 Morningside Ave, Sioux City. A Celebration of Life will follow at the same location at 11:00 AM with Pastor Todd Schlitter officiating.
