Born on October 27, 1967, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of David and JoAnn (Gwin) Hamilton, Dana lived her life with an abundance of love and kindness, positively impacting all who knew her.
Dana earned her high school diploma from East High School and enhanced her education by attending beauty school, ultimately obtaining an associate’s degree in business. She dedicated her career to the home health care field before making the cherished decision to stay home and raise her daughters. In doing so, she nurtured not only her children but also her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Dana found joy in the precious moments spent with family, ensuring that her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
Her interests were as vibrant as her personality: she loved crocheting, enjoyed watching Hallmark and Lifetime movies, and often immersed herself in the music of her beloved Elvis, The Judds, and Dolly Parton. Date nights with her husband were a highlight, and she cherished the friendships she cultivated at PACE.
Dana is survived by her father, David Hamilton, and his wife, Deanna Gabriel Hamilton, of South Sioux City, her devoted husband, Martimiano Padron, of Sioux City, and her daughters: Emeral Hamilton of South Sioux City, Britani and her husband Edgar "Alejandro" Rodriguez of South Sioux City, Alicia Padron of Sioux City, and Virginia Padron of Sioux City. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Alejandro "Alex" Rodriguez, Martimiano Maeda-Padron, Karmela Maeda-Padron, Karliena Maeda-Padron, Emiliano Rodriguez, and Ximena Rodriguez. Dana is also survived by her sister, Diana, and her husband Antonio Garcia of Sioux City, and her brother, David Hamilton Jr., and his fiancé Kim of Ankeny, IA.
Dana is preceded in death by her mother JoAnn Hamilton, and sisters Honey Maria Hamilton and Sarahjo Hamilton.
Dana’s memory will forever remain a precious treasure in the lives of those she touched. She was a beacon of light, a nurturing spirit, and a testament to the power of love within a family.
