Dale G. Bjorkman

Dale G. Bjorkman, 82 of Sioux City passed away on December 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Abiding by his wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, condolences may be directed to the family.

Dale was born to Glenn and Deloris (Sargent) Bjorkman on July 30, 1942, in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from Central High School in 1960 and from the University of Nebraska in 1964. Dale married Mary Norcott on December 22, 2002, in Sioux City, Iowa.

Dale was a talented salesman, working for many companies including Georgia Pacific, Royal Prestige, United Standard Distributors and eventually retired from Gateway Computers.

Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. His passion was his daily workouts which he enjoyed into his 80s.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Mary; daughters, Jami Bjorkman (Glen Platt), Jody Danke (Brad), and Jerri Onjukka (Tom); stepdaughter, Jenni Parkhill (Greg Deaton); former wife, Diane Bjorkman; 6 grandchildren, JR, Rob, Tyler (Jodi), Rachel, Bryce, and Derek (Jerri) and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce.
