Cynthia K. Marsh

Cynthia K. Marsh, 72, of Sioux City passed away Monday, September 26, 2022.  A memorial service will be 7:00 P.M. Friday, September 30, 2022 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. 

Cynthia was born the daughter of William and Bessie (Miller) Buskirk on January 28, 1950 in Lynch, Nebraska.  She graduated from Niobrara High School and furthered her education with an associate’s degree in childhood development.  She made her home in South Sioux City where she became a headstart teacher at Goldenrod Hills.  She moved to Whiting, Iowa in 1992 and opened a café which she owned and operated for 17 years.  

For Cindi, time with her family and grandchildren was the highlight of her life.  She spent a lot of time baking with her grandchildren and gardening and taking care of her flowers.  She was a woman full of compassion and kindness who always did her best to make all animals and people feel loved.

Cindi is survived by her children, Cristy (Doug) Ellis of Sioux City, Dennis Bobek of South Sioux City, Kellie (Shane) Bock of Bennington, and Lindsey (Dan) Marsh of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Crimson, Pryce, Ramsey, Keenan, Madison, Dawson, Anthoney, Ashley, Brodey, Alex, and Parker; and great-grandchildren, Aspen and Flora.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Jo, Bea, Kathy, and Bill; and nephews, Billy and Todd.
