Obituary

Cynthia “Cyndy” Rae Hall, 72, of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Pioneer Valley Nursing and Rehab in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Following the Celebration of Life, family and friends are welcome to join in the Meyer Brothers Reception Room for a luncheon and time of fellowship.

Cyndy, the daughter of Robert “Bob” and Rozella “Joyce” (Mack) Clark, was born on April 16, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Harmony Hills High School in Watertown, South Dakota. Cyndy was blessed with two sons, Rob and Cylas, who became the greatest joys of her life.

In her early working years, Cyndy was a manager at Pizza Hut in Sioux City. In her early twenties, her life changed dramatically following a car accident that left her with a brain injury. In an instant, her world was turned upside down. Yet, through the many challenges and obstacles that followed, Cyndy showed a remarkable strength and determination that would define her life. She was an amazing woman and a true survivor, facing life's hardships with a spirit that could never be completely broken.

Family was the cornerstone of Cyndy's life. She loved her family dearly and treasured every opportunity to be together. Holidays, family celebrations, and gatherings were never missed whenever she could be there. Those moments meant everything to her, and the love she shared with her family was evident in the way she showed up, time and time again.

Cyndy had a personality all her own. She was outspoken, social, and never afraid to speak her mind. She enjoyed music, dressing in nice clothes, and especially loved Chinese food. She had a special fondness for the color red and was known for her signature red lipstick, which became a part of her unmistakable style. Cyndy brought her own sparkle wherever she went, and her lively personality made her someone people remembered. Above all, Cyndy loved God with all her heart.

Cyndy will be remembered for her strength, her social nature, her love of family, and the remarkable resilience she demonstrated throughout her life. She overcame more than many could imagine, and her journey serves as a beautiful reminder that even when life takes unexpected turns, love, faith, and the human spirit can carry us forward.

She is survived by her sons, Rob Hall and Cylas Hall (Tom Herfel); grandchildren, Anton (Caitlin) Hall, Isaiah (Tasha) Hall, and Ezra Hall; great-grandchildren, Everly, Baker, and Reggie Hall; siblings, Bill (Barb) Clark, Connie (James) Noreen, and Traci (Phil) Bedinger; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Clark, and her father, Bob Clark.
