Connor J. “Schlo” Schlotfeldt, 30 of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away from a single vehicle accident on Monday, September 29, 2025. A Celebration-of-Life will be on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Country Celebrations in Sioux City from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Connor was born on September 26, 1995 in Sioux City, Iowa to Cory and Lori (Crosmer) Schlotfeldt. He received his education in the Sergeant Bluff - Luton Public School system, graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School before attending South Dakota State University.
While in the workforce, Connor worked at Wilson Trailer Company in Grand Island, Nebraska before returning to the Siouxland area, where he was currently working with the crew at Jim Hawk Trailer Company.
Connor had a way of brightening up a room whether he was close by or far away, and will continue to do that forever. He made sure everyone had a good time including himself. Schlo could walk into a room and approach anyone making them friends until he decided otherwise. Everything from him was a movie quote or a verse in a song! Connor always made sure his little sister and friends had money for food and fun via their Cash App.
Connor’s favorite memories include the friendships made through his life events, including his youth baseball, Sioux City Youth Hockey, school, and work. His greatest accomplishments will be remembered as Connor being a great friend, a great sibling, a great son, and a wonderful grandson. Schlo enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, spending money on clothes, shoes, and sunglasses, along with sharing his talent with Touch Tunes and Karaoke. He loved his Devils Lake, North Dakota trips, along with playing golf, and going fishing.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Cory and Lori Schlotfeldt of Sioux City; sister Whitney Schlotfeldt; grandfather Bill Crosmer; grandparents Gary and Candace Schlotfeldt; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding Connor in death was his grandmother Penny Crosmer, or better known within the family as “Nana Penny”.
