Clinton (Clint) Wayne Vos, 66, of Lawton, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home on September 5, 2026, surrounded by family, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on July 26, 1960, to LeRoy and June (Jansma) Vos in Rock Rapids, Iowa, Clint lived a life marked by faith, family, generosity, and service to others.

Clint spent his early years in Rock Rapids before his family relocated to Kingsley in 1969. He graduated from Kingsley High School in 1978. He completed his studies at the Reisch Worldwide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa, before later attending South Dakota State University.

Throughout his life, Clint built a career centered on relationships and hard work. His professional journey included work on the family cattle feed lot, sales positions with Lite-Form Industries and Beef Products Inc., service as an international construction consultant, and a long career of sixteen years with GCC Ready Mix. Whether in business or in the community, Clint was known for his ability to connect with people, build friendships, and leave a lasting impression on everyone he met.

In 1982 Clint married Twyla (Kalas) and together they had a son, Brian in 1985. In 1992, Clint met Carmen Derynck and her sons, Kollin and Kellen. What began as a chance meeting grew into a partnership that would define the rest of his life. Together they built a family grounded in faith, love, and unwavering support for one another. Clint was also a devoted father to his son, Brian, and treasured the time he shared with Brian, Alyssa, and his beloved grandchildren, Poppy and Paxton.

Faith was the cornerstone of Clint's life. He was deeply involved in his church and played an instrumental role in the transition from Morningside Reformed Church to the formation of Peace Reformed Church. His commitment to his faith was reflected not only in his service to the church, but also in the way he treated people with kindness, compassion, and generosity.

Clint's impact extended throughout the Siouxland community. He served on the Capital Campaign Committee for the June E. Nylen Cancer Center and as a board member of the Mercy One Siouxland Foundation. A gifted auctioneer and enthusiastic supporter of charitable causes, he donated countless hours to fundraising events throughout the region. From youth organizations and healthcare initiatives to community projects and athletic programs, Clint never hesitated to lend his voice, his time, or his talents in support of others.

A lifelong cattleman at heart, Clint had a deep appreciation for agriculture and the people who make their living from the land. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, treasured time spent with family and friends at Lake Okoboji, and never met a stranger. His quick smile, larger-than-life personality, and genuine interest in others made him a friend to many and unforgettable to all who knew him.

Clint was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Vos; grandparents, Clarence and Jennie Vos and Walter and Jennie Jansma; brother-in-law, Randy Widman; sister-in-law, Nomi Vos; and his great-niece, Hope Widman.

Clint is survived by his life partner, Carmen Derynck of Lawton, Iowa; son, Brian (Alyssa) Vos of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, Poppy and Paxton Vos; stepsons, Kollin (Alyssa) Derynck of Little Rock, Arkansas and Kellen (Amanda) Derynck of Hinton, Iowa; mother, June Vos of Kingsley, Iowa; sister, Janna (Craig) Widman-Walton of Lawton, Iowa; brother, Russell Vos of Sioux City, Iowa; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Those who knew Clint will remember his unwavering faith, generous heart, booming auctioneer's voice, and his remarkable ability to make everyone feel like a lifelong friend.

All services will be held at Peace Reformed Church, 4100 Outer Dr. N, Sioux City, IA 51108. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, with Pastor Jason Van Wyk officiating. Burial will follow at Banner Township Cemetery in Lawton. Arrangements are being handled by Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.
