Cherrill R. Colton

Loving wife and mother, Cherrill R. Colton passed peacefully on Monday, September 25, 2023 at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Cherrill was born February 21, 1940 in Malone, New York to Oran and Helen Mallette. She married her love, Doug C. Colton on September 11, 1965.

Cherrill worked many jobs. The jobs she enjoyed most was being a wife and mother. She loved being outside in her flower garden with her animals following behind her or getting in her way.  She loved and took care of many strays. (Don’t worry mom, we will take care of the babies.)

Her hobbies included: bowling, painting and many other crafts.  Most of all she loved playing games with her children.  She loved to laugh and have fun. 

She is survived by her husband Doug: Children Terry Pfeffer (Mike), Debi Colton, Sherry Abeles (Scooter), Mary Marquis (Richard), Brother: Buddy Mallette; Sisters: Janet Keating and Julie Manley. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving son Bobby Colton, her parents Oran and Helen Mallette and granddaughter, Dana Ann Colton.

Celebration of Life will be Sunday, October 8^th, 2023 @ 4:00 p. m. at the American Legion Post 376 of Dakota City, NE.
