Charles F. Paul, Sr.

Charles F. Paul, 77 of Sioux City passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023.  Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no local services held. 

Charles was born the son of Clarence Elenora (Jensen) Paul on December 12, 1945 in Sioux City, Iowa.  He married Jannette Sigler on February 29, 1968 in Sioux City, Iowa.  Charles worked for a tractor manufacturing company for several years.

He loved spending time with his family, grandkids, and great-grandkids.  He liked to cook for all of them and hosted many barbecues.  Charles also enjoyed camping, fishing, and dirt track racing.  He was a junker.  He liked collecting scrap iron and searching for lost treasures.  His son, Jr. got him into building plastic models.  They enjoyed building trains and airplanes together. 

Charles is survived by his wife, Jannette Paul; children, Paula (Jay) Kounkel, Charles (Melessa) Paul, Jr., David Paul, and Christina (Lucas) Holder; siblings, Robert (Gert) Paul and Barb Gosh; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, John, Fred, and Marie; daughter-in-law, Maggie; and brother-in-law, Larry.
