Carol G. Petersen, 85, of Sioux City, IA passed away Monday, February 6, 2023 at Countryside Health Care Center in Sioux City. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2023 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Interment will be at Logan Park Cemetery. Carol was born April 7, 1937 to John and Grace (Heiner) Hill in Sioux City. She married James Petersen on April 9, 1955 in Sioux City. To this marriage they had four children. James passed away June 17, 2007. Throughout her life Carol was a stay-at-home mom taking care of her children. She truly enjoyed being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren and supporting all their activities they were involved in.

Carol will be truly missed by her four children: Brian (Anita) Petersen of Plymouth County, IA, Jefferey (Desyeray) Petersen of Sioux City, Janet Petersen of Sioux City, Linda (Tim) Fetterman of Moville, IA, eight grandchildren: Hollie (Eric) Waldee, Kristine (Ryan) Foster, Jill (Mike) Mullen, Kyle (Elizabeth) Ferris, Amy (Dan) Kollbaum, Adam (Leslie) Fetterman, Kirkland Fetterman, Destiney (Dylan) Ensz, twelve great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Husband James Petersen, parents, John and Grace Hill, two sisters and one infant brother.
