Carol F. Hunt, 80, of Sioux City, IA, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City, IA. Funeral Services will be 7:00 p.m., Wednesday August 2, 2023 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family present starting at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday August 2, 2023 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Carol was born on December 7, 1942 to Henry and Gertrude (Korthals) Boone Jr. in Perkins, IA. She graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1961. She married Norman D. Hunt in Sioux City on August 13, 1977. They later divorced. Carol worked as a cashier for 18 years for Sioux Harbor until they closed. She continued her career as an office assistance for Midwest Peterbilt Group Corporate Office until her retirement. She enjoyed word puzzles, Lawrence Welk, and Nebraska Football. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Carol is survived by her brother, Ray Boone of Sioux City, Sister-in-law, Lois Boone, of Sioux City, IA, niece, Candy (Mark) Burge of Lincoln, NE, nephew, Mitchell (Lizz) Boone of Sioux City, IA and one great-niece, Spencer Boone. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Henrietta “Toots” Steinborn and one brother, Raymond Boone.
