Brian T. Hodgins, 58 of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in Omaha. A funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the funeral home. Please join the family at Prince’s Tavern following the visitation. Burial will be at Logan Park Cemetery.
Brian was born the son of Warren Hodgins and Marilyn Draisey on December 20, 1966 in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Sioux City West in 1985 and attended WIT. Brian married Sherrie Reeg in 1987. They later divorced but remained good friends. He married Mona Pflanz on September 5, 1992. They made their home in Sioux City.
Brian worked for Chamberlain Food Center as a meat cutter. He then worked in management for Fleet Farm and was currently with Prince’s Tavern.
Brian was an avid golfer at Sun Valley, where he captured the illusive hole in one. He loved his children and grandchildren, dogs, and watching sports. He enjoyed being at Prince’s Tavern and the relationships he made there.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed in his honor to the Siouxland Humane Society.
Brian is survived by his wife, Mona Hodgins of Sioux City; children, Ashley (Eric) Larson of Omaha, Brady Hodgins of Sioux City, and Rachel Hodgins of Boston; grandchildren, Noah and Kloee Larson; siblings, Sheila (Mike) Molden, Brad (Tamara) Hodgins, and Debbie (Mark) Elgert; many nieces and nephews; stepfather, Ron Bandza; and brother-in-law, Dennis Culbertson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pam Hodgins Culbertson.
