Bradley "Bear" Steven Girard

   Bradley “Bear” Steven Girard, 63, of North Sioux City, SD passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at his residence after a short illness.

   Bear was cremated. There will be a celebration of his life at his son Emil’s on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at 2101 Bryan St. in Sioux City. All who knew him are welcome. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel assisted with arrangements.

   Bear was born Mary 16, 1959. He graduated from West High.

   Bear served in the United States Marine Corps until his honorable discharge. He returned to Sioux City where he became a member of the El Forastero Motorcycle Club. In 1988, he moved to Jefferson, SD and with his Club Brother Moose opened Bears McParts.

   In 1977, he married Jackie Vanderham. Bear enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his son, Emil.

   He is survived by his son, Emil; his daughter, Christie (Alexander) Ward, granddaughter, Amelia, his brother, Brian (Tina) Girard; his sisters: Kim (John) Morris and Shelly (David) Hopkins; and many, many nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Janet; and his sister, Theresa.
