Bonnie Rossiter, 89 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at a local hospital, comforted by family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024 at The Church of the Nativity in Sioux City, Iowa with Father Brad Pelzel as Celebrant. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17th at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with family present at 6:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Bonnie Rossiter, known affectionately to many as simply Bonnie, passed away on July 14, 2024 in Sioux City, Iowa. She was born on November 24, 1934, in Rural Homer, Nebraska. Bonnie led a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and cherished that will be fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Graduating High School marked the beginning of Bonnie's journey where she enjoyed staying home as a homemaker to raise her family before venturing into the workforce, making valuable contributions at Omaha Line, an industrial manufacturer. Later on, she transitioned to Walmart where she found fulfillment as a Customer Service Representative before embracing her role as a devoted homemaker again.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Bonnie's true passions shone through in her hobbies and interests. She had a talent for creating jewelry and enjoyed the challenge of sudoku puzzles. Her love for playing cards brought joy to those around her, and she gained a reputation for hosting outstanding rummage sales that captured the community's attention.

Bonnie's elegant demeanor and impeccable sense of style truly set her apart. She took great pleasure in entertaining guests and was celebrated for being a gracious hostess who made everyone feel at home in her presence.

Amongst all her accomplishments, Bonnie held raising her six children dearest to her heart. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire generations to come.

Bonnie is reunited in peace with her loved ones who passed before her; her father Ross Heck, mother Gladys Heck, husband James B. Rossiter Jr., and her 10 siblings.

She is survived by her adoring family: Daughter Jean (Dean) Flaws of Carlisle, Iowa; Son James (Sherri) Rossiter III of Sioux City, Iowa; Daughter Mary (Dr. Douglas) Barr of South Sioux City, Nebraska; Son Michael (Lynn) Rossiter of Sioux City, Iowa; Son John (Deanne) Rossiter of Aurora, Minnesota; Son Mark (Toshia) Rossiter of Urbandale, Iowa; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her sister Mary Ann Robertson of Pender, Nebraska.
